About Us
MTO Nursery Ltd operates from Units 1-3, 44-54 Coleridge Road, London N8 8ED.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and act as the data controller
for the personal information we collect.

Information We Hold
In order to provide childcare safely and responsibly, we keep certain information about children,
parents and staff.
This includes basic identification and contact details, attendance records, funding information,
accident and incident records, and where necessary, medical, dietary or special educational needs
information.
For staff, we retain recruitment records, DBS information and employment details.
We also operate CCTV within the nursery and at the entrance for safeguarding and security
purposes.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to deliver childcare services, meet our safeguarding responsibilities,
comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and ensure the safety and smooth running of the
nursery.
In some situations, such as medical emergencies, information may be shared with health
professionals. Where safeguarding concerns arise, information may be shared with the Local
Authority or relevant agencies as required by law.
Safeguarding and Legal Duties
As an Ofsted-registered childcare provider, we are legally required to safeguard and promote the
welfare of children.
This means we may need to share information with Ofsted, the Local Authority, health professionals
or the police where appropriate and lawful to do so.
CCTV
CCTV is in operation inside the nursery and at the entrance to support child protection and site
security.
Footage is generally retained for around 30 days unless required for investigation purposes. Access
is restricted to authorised senior management.
CCTV is not used for routine staff performance monitoring.
Storage and Security
We use secure systems to manage information, including Parenta nursery management software,
which acts as our contracted data processor.
Information is protected through secure logins, restricted access, encrypted systems and
appropriate physical safeguards for paper records.
Retention
Records are kept only for as long as necessary. Child records are retained in line with statutory
limitation periods, which may extend up to 21 years and 3 months.
Employment records are typically kept for six years after employment ends. CCTV footage is
normally retained for approximately 30 days.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, individuals have the right to request access to their personal
information and to request correction where data is inaccurate.
